A Post-Recovery Facility aimed at helping injured veterans re-integrate into family obligations and life at home. The facility is tailored toward veterans dealing with limb loss and paraplegia.
A renovation of Seguin's Vivroux Building in the middle of their historic Main Street. The design provides for dining, shopping and loft-style downtown living while making the most of the building's historic characteristics.
A combined office design for 4 different alternative energy companies. Markets include: solar energies, biofuels, wind energy, and hydroelectricity. The lobby is a gallery-style display space showcasing emerging technologies and developments.
The Schroder house is a direct expression of the de stijl movement, which prioritized heavily on the importance of using only horizontal and vertical planes. Most of the horizontal and vertical planes were offset in layers that were not meant to intersect, giving the pieces an abstract look, but still retaining a sense of balance. Its clean lines and distinctive shapes show that it is truly a work of art in its own right.
ASID built a custom doghouse for display and auction on 2nd Street in Austin, TX as part of a non-profit benefit for local animal shelters. Texas State ASID is the only student organization to date to participate in this event. 2009’s design for the “Dog Log” won the “Most Unusual” award.
For Bobcat Build 2010 I was able to raise over $3500 in donations for the renovation of a single-family home in San Marcos. Improvements included: vinyl flooring installation, carpet removal and installation, painting of all trim, walls and ceilings, furniture creation and refinishing (staining, painting, etc), installation of light fixtures, resealing all windows and doors and window treatment installation.
