Poor hubby. He’s right though, traveling around with me is similar to traveling with a child. I walk into restaurants and stare at the ceilings to see how they did their lighting. If I see an interesting wall finish, I walk over and touch it. I find the effect that interiors have on our every day quality of life and pop-culture fascinating. So this blog entry is dedicated to everyone who takes a minute to stop and smell the architectural roses. Just don’t get so caught up that you miss the things going on INSIDE the amazing space.

Jessi is a photographer in the Pensacola, FL area that I met while stationed in Hawaii. She’s a wonderful person with a truly positive outlook on life. Even though we were never more than casual friends, I feel privileged to have met her. Her work inspires me regularly to look at projects in a new way and to push myself to do more. Although she probably has no idea what an impact she’s had on me, I wanted to send a big, heart-felt “Thank You” to Jessi for making the world a more beautiful place.

You can see Jessi’s work at www.JessiFieldPhotography.com and www.MakeYouMinePhotography.com or Like her on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/jessifieldphoto

When I initially set up this site, I wasn’t sure whether or not to use the Blog functionality. However, after seeing the LGM convertible murphy-style bed at Resource Furniture, I decided to give it a go.

Now I realize this isn’t a new product. It’s been on the market for at least 7 years, but it’s new to me. My husband and I are constantly discussing the amount of square footage we “need” to live comfortably, and this will definitely be showing up in our next debate. With a pricetag of almost $9,000 USD (and I have no idea about shipping) I don’t know if I would consider buying one of these with the relatively low cost of housing in Texas, but if that equation ever changes, it’s going to be first on my shopping list.

Not to mention the obvious potential to modify it into a hidden bookcase door to another room…like the Batcave.
